Benefits & Protection

The Department's mission is protecting life and property. The Association's job is to protect the volunteers who carry out that mission, so no member of Prospect VFD, and no firefighting family, faces the risks of the job alone.

Injury Protection

Insurance purchased by the Association under the Volunteer Firemen's Relief Association Act provides financial assistance to members injured in fire service.

Family Protection

Life coverage maintained by the Association protects the eligible beneficiaries of the members who serve.

Safe & Ready Firefighters

Within the limits of the Act, Association funds can support the protective gear, training, and equipment that keep firefighters safe on every call.

Life & Property

Every volunteer we protect is a volunteer who keeps answering the call, protecting the lives and property of Prospect Borough and Franklin Township.
